Licensing Boards
BHEC is the umbrella organization for Texas behavioral health licensing boards. As noted on BHEC's (2024) website, the organization's mission is "to protect and promote the welfare of the people of Texas by ensuring that behavioral health services and social work practice are provided by qualified and competent practitioners who adhere to established professional standards" (para. 3).
